Upmarket style and beauty event a great success

The first Style and Beauty event that took place at the Constantia Village Courtyard this last weekend was a great success, with lots of fun and pampering had by all. With delicious gourmet delights on offer, to festive gifts, wine and coffee tastings, and a variety of stalls offering the stores latest wares this event by Constantia Village Courtyard had it all for shoppers.


The sophisticated event coincided with the exciting launch of the popular national Sorbet beauty salon opening at the Constantia Courtyard this month. Sorbet and Dermalogica therapists where on hand to offer shoppers complimentary hand, foot, neck and shoulder massages as well as express manicures and pedicures throughout the Style and Beauty event. Take advantage of the salon’s opening special of 25% off all treatments until the end of November 2012.

Former Miss South Africa, Claudia Henkel, of event organiser Sorbet Events was the MC for both days and apart from running both fashion shows, made sure the event took off without any hitches.

Sheltered by a state of the art Bedouin tent, there were plenty of gourmet delights on offer from sushi, to cupcakes and delicious canapé’s. Italian Lifestyle offered coffee and espresso tastings plus Haute Cabriere’s wine and bubbly tasting bar had guests queuing for more.

Clothing boutiques and fashion retailers from the village shopping centre such as Mystique, Divine, Meditteraneo and Madison showcased their designs at the daily fashion show, held at 12noon each day of the two day style experience. Sorbet Events managed to secure international models to take to the runway to showcase the summer seasons latest trends while the make-up for models and shoppers wanting quick make-over’s was provided for by Clicks. Covering the runway and stage where carpets from Cape Persian Carpet House.

Festive shoppers looking for the perfect gift could browse the range of décor, lifestyle and beauty items on display from Charlotte Rhys, Jin Jin Jewellery, Present Time and Melissa’s Food shop at the stylish event.

Smart phones, mobile devices and a range of touch tablets where available from Flash Cellular plus fashionable and stylish sun and reading eyewear from Mullers Optometrists where worn by all the models.

The Constantia Village Courtyard is a quaint shopping hub offering gorgeous gourmet delights, custom-made jewellery and decor, an upmarket beauty and hair salon Hair Expressions, FlightCentre travel agency, clothing boutiques, relaxing yoga classes by YogaSpirit, a bank and Toy time toy shop.
